Paint behaves like a material.
Wet paint picks up and blends within the active layer. Oil stays workable longer; acrylic sets; watercolour can be rewetted with the water brush. Start a paper canvas for watercolour. Drying pauses in a background tab and after closing the studio.
Auto load gives you fresh paint at each stroke. Turn it off to carry colour and paint load between strokes. Clean and Load paint are always nearby.
A little less reaching.
Every tool remembers its size, opacity and physical settings. Colours stay shared. Loaded palette mixtures appear in Recent mixes without replacing saved swatches. Right-click a saved swatch, or focus it and press Delete, to remove it.
Drop a PNG, JPEG or WebP image into the studio to pin a reference beside your canvas, or choose it through Open. Drag its header to move, its corner to resize, and use its header controls to fold or remove it. References stay out of your PNG and travel with editable projects. Auto graphics simplifies room effects under load while preserving your actual painting.
Keep a copy of something you love.
Local saving protects against an ordinary refresh after “Saved on this device” appears. Browser data can still be cleared. PNG saves your picture; an editable .brushorbit file preserves layers and wet paint. A bounded recent undo history is recovered after refresh on this device. Downloaded projects preserve the painting and tool settings; local undo history stays on this device.
The materials are artistic browser simulations, including an RYB pigment-mixing approximation and a top-surface model. They do not reproduce every physical pigment or chemical interaction. Read the full guide ↗
